Las Vegas Strip Club Allows Customers To Pay For Lap Dances In Bitcoin
KEY POINTS
- A Las Vegas strip club will accept bitcoin for their services
- Customers can pay via QR codes
- The establishment already accepts BTC for some services
Las Vegas strip club Crazy Horse III has started accepting Bitcoin as a medium of exchange to pay for lap dances and giving tips.
Crazy Horse III, one of the first U.S. entertainment companies to adopt Bitcoin as a mode of payment, have been accepting the crypto king for table reservations, buying alcohol and VIP services since July 2021.
Club spokesperson Lindsay Feldman told TMZ that the club made this decision because financial service providers like Mastercard and Visa sometimes refuse their services for adult entertainment because of legal reasons.
She said Mastercard and Visa do not provide round-the-clock services and customer support and often demand high commissions on payments. These were also fundamental factors that led to providing the option of paying via Bitcoin.
"Guests can enjoy all our bustling adult entertainment anonymously and instantly. Crazy Horse 3 has always been at the forefront of the industry and remains committed to offering unique and innovative amenities that elevate the world-class experience that our high-end clientele knows us for," Felman said in an email to The Street.
As per the report in TMZ, the club has partnered with OpenNode, which would handle their Bitcoin influx via the Lightning Network. Customers would be able to pay by scanning QR codes via their smartphones.
The club has plans to accept Bitcoin for all the services provided by them. Also, they believe that this move by the club would facilitate wider adoption of Bitcoin as a medium of exchange in other similar outlets, the spokesperson told TMZ.
