The official first look pictures of “The Last Kingdom” Season 4 have been released online. Fans have already seen the new look of the protagonist Uhtred (Alexander Dreymon), and now the pictures tease some of the settings the warrior will be seen in.

After “The Last Kingdom” got canceled, the show got a new home at Netflix. The first official look pictures of the show that have been released on Twitter show the character will be getting a new look and a new costume in the next season.

While Uhtred gets a new hairstyle and clothes, the one thing that remains the same is his sword. The warrior will also be surrounded by loyal followers like Beocca (Ian Hart) and Finan (Mark Rowley).

The first look pictures tease some of the stills from the next season, and there is also a behind-the-scenes picture of the filming of a night shoot. While the tone of the TV series is expected to remain the same, it remains to be seen if the Netflix version will be a little more dark and gritty.

While the details about the plot of “The Last Kingdom” Season 4 are currently being kept under wraps, the producers did tease on Instagram previously that they are going back to the beginning. The audience will be taken back to Bebbanburg, where the story of Uhtred began.

Uhtred is the rightful Lord of Bebbanburg, another behind-the-scenes picture of the show teased. The character has always been fighting for his ancestral lands, and he will continue to fight for the right to rule his lands in the next season. The producers teased that the warrior will cause “a stir” again in Season 4.

Filming of “The Last Kingdom” Season 4 has been ongoing for a while now. The producers are yet to announce an exact release date, but the show is expected to premiere some time later this year.
