'The Last Of Us Part 3' Reportedly Hinted By Game Director

“The Last of Us Part 2” is one of the highly-awaited titles releasing this year. The game has been in development for a long time and was announced in 2016. A recent report claims that the game’s director is toying with the possibility of “The Last of Us Part 3” as the studio’s next project.

Comicbook reported the latest information on the likelihood that “The Last of Us 3” could be the next project of Naughty Dog. The site picked Niel Druckman’s latest interview with GQ magazine, where the vice president and game director talked about “The Last of Us 2” and the future of the gaming studio. Druckman hinted that there is a chance that the next thing Naughty Dog would work on could be “The Last of Us Part 3.”

The third installment to the successful “TLOU” series could pick up where the story of “The Last Of Us Part 2” ends. Druckman also teased that there is a possibility that Naughty Dog would work on a totally new IP. It can be recalled that the executive previously shared that he toyed with the possibility of working on another “Uncharted” title, another series the gaming studio is known for.

During the GQ magazine interview, Druckmann also talked about the studio’s project with HBO. “The Last Of Us” series is currently in the development for the American pay TV network. The executive shared that he is involved with the characters for the medium and the writer for the upcoming show.

Working on the project enables them to focus on the characters and highlight their uniqueness and differences, he told GQ. Meanwhile, “The Last of Us Part 2” is scheduled to arrive on June 19, 2020. Sony recently rolled out a short but sweet, less than a minute-long trailer of the upcoming game.

The launch trailer is brief and does not show anything that the gaming industry has not yet seen. But, it is enough to sustain the hype until “The Last Of US Part 2” arrives a few days from now. Check out the trailer below.
