LeBron James And Savannah Brinson Wedding Drama: Did Groupie Carmen Ortega Try To Crash The Ceremony?
LeBron James and Savannah Brinson almost had an unvited guest at their wedding this past weekend in San Diego. A groupie of NBA All-Star James reportedly tried to crash the party, but she didn't make it past the armed security guards in charge of the guest list.
Black Sports Online reports that an unidentified woman, described only as being of Hispanic descent, tried to crash the wedding, claiming she knew James and wanted to speak with him. The guards, however, blocked her from entering.
It is unclear if the woman was Carmen Ortega, a video model whom James was rumored to be romantically involved with since he's been with Brinson.
The wedding ceremony proceeded without a hitch, as the Miami Heat star exchanged I do's with Brinson, his longtime girlfriend and mother of their sons, on Saturday at the Grand Del Mar hotel in front of 200 guests. The couple's longtime friends Jay Z and Beyonce were in attendance, and Beyonce reportedly performed, as did singer Ne-Yo. Other guests included James' teammate Dwyane Wade and his girlfriend Gabrielle Union, and his coach, Erik Spoelstra.
Brinson wore a strapless white gown and wore her hair in a bun.
The couple, who have been together since high school, made it a three-day celebration. The New York Post’s Page Six reported there was a welcome barbeque for guests on Friday, the wedding ceremony and party on Saturday, and a farewell brunch on Sunday.
The newlyweds have two sons together, LeBron Jr., 11, and Bryce, 6. The 28-year-old NBA star proposed to Brinson at a New Year’s Eve party last year.
