Is ‘Legacies’ On Tonight? CW Delays Season 2, Episode 4
The Salvatore Boarding School will not be celebrating Halloween on screen. Despite Oct. 31 landing on a Thursday, “Legacies” is not on tonight. It’ll be back soon, though.
“Legacies” is not new this week because The CW has a special Halloween lineup. Instead of “Legacies,” another vampire-themed program will air. “Mysteries Decoded” will have a special episode investigating the vampires of New Orleans at 9 p.m. EDT on Thursday. “US Navy veteran turned private investigator Jennifer Marshall heads to New Orleans and teams up with vampire/writer Vincent Curiel to investigate whether an ancient vampire has cracked the code on immortality,” the synopsis reveals.
“Supernatural” will be replaced by the “13 Scariest Movies of All Time” special.
Our favorite vampires (and witches and werewolves and tribrid and phoenix), however, will return next week on Nov. 7 at 9 p.m. EDT. The episode is titled “Since When Do You Speak Japanese?” and will introduce a samurai.
“When a samurai shows up in Mystic Falls looking for a demon that possesses its victims, Josie (Kaylee Bryant) leads the charge to defend her friends from the demon’s wrath,” the synopsis teases. It seems like the witch is getting more confident this season.
Elsewhere, the boys will be investigating. “Meanwhile, as Landon (Aria Shahghasemi) and Rafael (Peyton Alex Smith) head to Mystic Falls High in hopes of learning more about the mysterious Hope (Danielle Rose Russell), MG (Quincy Fouse) is conflicted by a secret he’s uncovered about Lizzie’s (Jenny Boyd) new vampire friend Sebastian (guest star Thomas Doherty),” the logline teases. When MG caught Lizzie and Seb making out, he just saw Lizzie kissing the air, which is pretty concerning.
It sounds like Ric’s love life is almost as complicated as his daughter’s. “Finally, just as Alaric (Matthew Davis) lets his guard down around the town’s new sheriff, a confrontation with a demon forces him to reevaluate his priorities,” the CW’s summary says.
Anyone who desperately needs a Mystic Falls fix can check out Season 1 on Netflix or watch the first three episodes of Season 2 on The CW's website and app.
“Legacies” returns Nov. 7.
