LG G3 At Verizon Will Cost Only $99
Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) has made its LG G3 smartphone model available for pre-order as of Thursday and will launch the device in stores and online on July 17.
Big Red will offer the new flagship smartphone from LG Electronics Inc. (KRX:066570) for $99 with a two-year contract, making it the cheapest model of the device available from a U.S. carrier. Customers can also finance the purchase of the smartphone with Verizon Edge, paying $29.99 per month for 20 months. The off-contract price of the Verizon LG G3 is $599.99.
Other major carriers have already announced the availability dates for their models of the LG G3. AT&T (NYSE:T) will the first carrier to begin offering the LG G3 on July 11. T-Mobile US Inc. (NYSE:TMUS) has begun accepting pre-orders for the LG G3 and will have its model in stores as of July 16. Sprint Co. (NYSE:S) will begin accepting pre-orders on July 11 and will have its model available in stores starting July 18.
LG has also confirmed that Best Buy Co. (NYSE:BBY) will carry the LG G3.
The LG G3 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset clocking in at 2.5GHz, a 5.5-inch Quad HD (2560x1440) IPS display with a 538ppi pixel density, 2GB or 3GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB internal storage options with microSD support up to 128GB, a 13-megapixel rear camera with OIS and Laser Auto Focus and a 2.1-megapixel front camera, a 3,000mAh removable battery, and the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system. The LG G3 includes connectivity and sensors such as LTE, HSPA+ 21, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth Smart and NFC. The LG G3 will be available in Metallic Black, Silk White, Shine Gold, Moon Violet and Burgundy Red color options.
Verizon will offer a 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage model of the LG G3 in addition to black and white color options.
