Following the never-ending Samsung Galaxy S7 rumors, LG’s G5 is now playing the catch-up game. The G5 is expected to be unveiled on Feb. 21, which is a day before the MWC 2016 event. Meanwhile, photos of the dummy unit of the LG G5 have surfaced showing the design like never-before. In addition, case makers have already listed the protective cases for the upcoming flagship, confirming the design.

A source apparently tipped Droid Life with a slew of photos showing the prototype (or dummy) of the LG G5. In order to obscure the view, the device has been hidden in a black plastic covering. Even though, the photos attached below and above try to hide the design elements, key aspects are very much visible.

Going by the photos, as rumored, a dual camera setup can be seen at the back of the device. The primary camera apparently features a 16-megapixel sensor, whereas the secondary unit (part of the dual camera setup) carries an 8-megapixel snapper.

At the back, a round fingerprint scanner can be seen and the device sports a metallic overall design. The right side of the LG G5 features a tray, which will house a SIM card and a microSD card. A single speaker has been located at the tail-end of the handset, alongside a microphone and a USB Type-C port.

Several case makers have been listing protective cases and covers for the LG G5. In general, case makers receive the dimensions and key design elements in advance -- so that they can manufacture and release the cases prior to (or on time of) the release of the device. The image attached below is from Amazon and it clearly shows the dual camera setup and placeholders for fingerprint scanner and buttons.

Moving on to the rumored LG G5 specifications, GSM Arena said that the device will apparently be 8.2 mm thick. It comes with a 5.6-inch display, aided by a QHD screen resolution. Under the hood, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC will power the device.

Readers should note that LG has not confirmed any G5-related information thus far.
