Liam Payne Is Going To Be A Dad! Pregnant Girlfriend Cheryl Cole Shows Off Baby Bump
Liam Payne has been rumored to be expecting a child with girlfriend Cheryl Cole for a while now, but it looks like the two lovebirds finally decided to reveal their big news this week.
Payne, 23, and Cole, 33, stepped out on Tuesday, Nov. 29 to attend the St. James Christmas Carol Concert in London when the “X Factor” was photographed sporting a rather obvious baby bump, Entertainment Tonight reported. Cole, who wore a form-fitting olive green knit dress and leather boots for the outing, couldn’t hide her growing bump under her long black coat. See photos of her baby bump here.
Meanwhile, her man looked dapper in an all-black ensemble consisting of a black turtleneck, long jacket, skinny jeans and suede boots. According to an E! News eyewitness, the One Direction member was very attentive to the pregnant singer and walked “behind Cheryl at some points with his hand on her back.”
A source also confirmed to the outlet that Cole is currently in her second trimester. However, neither the singer nor Payne have spoken about her pregnancy or responded to requests for an official comment.
Rumors of Cole being pregnant first surfaced in September when the singer was seen buying pregnancy products. Since then, she’s been photographed wearing maternity-inspired clothes such as oversized coats and sweater dresses.
Payne and Cole started dating in February, but only went public with their relationship three months later at a charity gala.
Payne and Cole’s first child would be the next One Direction baby as Louis Tomlinson and his ex Briana Jungwirth welcomed their first child, son Freddie, in January. When news of Tomlinson becoming a father first broke out, Payne talked about his reaction when he first found out about it and how his bandmate was handling it.
“Well I was, quite obviously, a bit shocked, you know. But he's taken super well to it. And he's excited; he's very excited about what's going on with him at the moment,” he told British radio station Magic FM last August, as quoted by ET.
He continued, “And sometimes stuff happens like that. And not [like] it's a small deal … You know, he's taking it very seriously, so it's all good.”
Congratulations to the happy couple!
