Lifetime’s ‘One Tree Hill’ Reunion Movie, ‘Christmas Contract’: Cast, Trailer, Release Date

Fifteen years after “One Tree Hill” first premiered, the cast’s reuniting for the holidays in a new Lifetime Christmas movie.

Airing Thanksgiving night, “The Christmas Contract” features “OTH” alums Hilarie Burton, Robert Buckley, Danneel Ackles and Antwon Tanner. It also features a musical performance from troublemaker Chris Keller AKA Tyler Hilton. Elisabeth Harnois, who played Shelley on the WB/CW series, also makes an appearance.

Non-“OTH” stars Jordan Ladd, Cheryl Ladd, Bruce Boxleitner, Jason London, Hunter Burke, Teri Wyble and Ritchie Montgomery round out the Lifetime Christmas movie’s cast.

“It’s Jolie’s (Burton) first time going back home to Louisiana since her devastating break up with Foster (Burke),” the synopsis starts. “Seeing him is inevitable as their parents run the town’s annual Christmas Market together, but when she discovers Foster is bringing home a new girlfriend, Jolie cannot bear the thought of going home alone and seeing them together. Her best friend Naomi (Ackles) suggests that Jolie bring her flaky brother, Jack (Buckley), home for Christmas as he has no plans this year.”

Hesitant at first, website designer Jolie only accepts the idea after Naomi, who’s a lawyer, draws up a Christmas contract to give them both. The agreement offers them both something they want, which is a buffer around Jolie’s ex for Jolie and a website for Jack to help him sell his upcoming novel. What starts off as just a mutually-beneficial arrangement turns out to be so much more.

Don’t go anywhere after “The Christmas Contract” ends, though, because there’s more “One Tree Hill” fun to be had. “'Tis the Season: A One Tree Hill Cast Reunion,” a one-hour special hosted by fellow “OTH” alum Paul Johansson and featuring Burton, Hilton, Ackles, Tanner and “OTH”-er Stephen Colletti, airs at 10 p.m. EST.

“The Tree Hill Ravens are back together to celebrate the Christmas season on Lifetime,” the synopsis shares. “In this special one-hour reunion, Hilarie Burton, Tyler Hilton, Danneel Ackles, Antwon Tanner of ‘The Christmas Contract’ and Stephen Colletti of ‘Hometown Christmas,’ reunite for a special evening that will include a few surprise special guests.”
