Lindsay Lohan Prays For ‘New Me’ After Partying In Dubai On New Year’s Eve
It’s 2017, and actress Lindsay Lohan is yearning for a big change within. The former Disney child actress took to social media to share with her fans what could be her New Year’s resolution for this year.
On Sunday, Lohan updated her Instagram account with an artwork that shows a caricature of her placing her right hand over her heart. Just below her caricature are the words “New Year New Me!” She didn’t caption the post with words. Instead, the actress used the Person with Folded Hands emoji to denote that she’s praying for a change from within this new year.
Lohan has changed a lot in the recent years when she moved to London. Gushing to Vanity Fair about her decision to leave Long Island for the capital of England, the 30-year-old model admitted that it “was the best thing I’ve done for myself.”
Aside from finding peace in her new city, Lohan also made headlines early this year when she finally talked about being photographed carrying a Quran in New York last year. According to the actress, she received backlash from her fellow Americans because of that. However, she told Turkish TV show Haber Turk that she did not regret reading the Quran for “it opened doors for me to experience spiritually, to find another true meaning,” as quoted by Emirates Woman.
Ever since Lohan revealed her interest in converting to Islam, she has shown much compassion to the needy all over the world. In fact, she’s been asking her millions of fans and followers on social media to support her advocacies and pray for those who are suffering. In the final hours of 2017, Lohan even posted on Instagram a call for people to pray for Turkey and take a stand for the refugees.
As of late, Lohan is staying in Dubai. She moved to the United Arab Emirates in December to spend the holiday season there. On New Year’s eve, Lohan hosted a countdown party at Zero Gravity hotel. She recorded a short clip of the event and shared it on Instagram. The “Mean Girls” actress then reiterated her call for unity using the hashtag “#theworldisbiggerthan5.”
