Lindsie Chrisley got candid about how she felt after learning about Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley's sentences.
Lindsie, 33, spoke out for the first time since Todd and Julie received their sentences for their felony tax crimes. In a statement she shared exclusively with Hollywood Life, she admitted that she was "heartbroken" over their sentences.
"I wanted to take a minute and, first of all, say thank you to all of our listeners that have reached out to me the past few weeks regarding my family. I wanted to take a step back and begin to process everything before speaking and making any statements. The past few months have been extremely hard for me and my family, and I am heartbroken over the updates in my parents' case that occurred late last month," she said in a statement, which she is also going to share with her fan during the taping of her "Coffee Convos" podcast Thursday.
She added, "I know some of the media [have] tried to twist my response to this and make it something it's not, but at the end of the day, there is no tea here. I am heartbroken and navigating this process the best way I know how. At the end of the day, this is a real family, and these are real and raw emotions. With that being said, thank you all for your love, support, and prayers. It really means the world to my family and me."
Lindsie had been estranged from her dad and stepmother. The father and daughter reconciled earlier this year. She clarified that their decision to work on their relationship had nothing to do with her divorce or the fraud trial.
"The most common question I think is people wanting to know if we reconnected because of the trial or because of my divorce... [but] I can confidently tell you there was no reconnection due to any legal reasons whatsoever," Lindsie said on her "The Southern Tea" podcast in August. "Nothing like that ever transpired."
Lindsie announced her divorce from her husband of nine years, Will Campbell, in August 2021. A day after, Todd shared a message on Instagram offering love and support to someone he didn't name but said, "You know who you are."
Lindsie admitted that they reconnected "definitely because of my divorce." However, she wasn't ready to reconcile with him at the time. In a previous interview, she even said there would be no reconciliation.
"There will never be a reconciliation," Lindsie told ET. "I think that the most that anyone could ask for at this point is for everyone to go on with their lives as they see fit and to just leave the other side alone. But at this point, there will be no chance for reconciliation."
