Lion Swings Mid-Air To Steal Leopard's Meal In Viral Video
Video of a lion swinging mid-air in an attempt to steal a leopard’s meal has gone viral on social media, leaving people awestruck.
In the 45-seconds video, the king of the jungle can be seen swinging in the air, trying to steal a dead impala that is stuck to a tree.
The video, which was captured by Michael Burnard, was posted on Twitter by Susanta Nanda of the Indian Forest Services.
"Lion is caught hilariously swinging in mid-air trying to steal the meal of a leopard. As the dead impala was struck in the fork of a tree, the strength of the lion was no match for this," the officer captioned the video. The location of the incident was not known.
Meanwhile, the video had people talking about the lion’s strength.
"Imagine the strength in his jaws to take all that weight," one person tweeted.
"Efforts for stealing a meal. Sad state of affairs for somebody who's the King of the Jungle!!!" another wrote.
"That's one determined thief," wrote another user.
Recently, the officer posted a video from Ngorongoro crater, Tanzania, in which a dog was seen scaring off a lion and a lioness. The video went viral on social media. In the video, the canine was seen barking at the lion before pouncing at the animal and grabbing its thick mane around its head. The canine then limps off the scene, leaving the lion and the lioness confused. The video, which was captioned "Never back down, Even if odds are against you," went viral with people appreciating the canine for being "brave." Some of the users also felt that the pair let go of the canine as they were either "full" or in "sublime mood."
Last week, a video of a lion and a lioness fighting at the Gir National Park in the Indian state of Gujarat, went viral. In the video, which was posted by Wild India, the pair was seen aggressively roaring at each other before the lioness strikes the lion on the face.
