'Love Is Blind' Stars Lauren and Cameron Reveal Show Cut 'Mushy' Moment
“Love Is Blind” stars Lauren and Cameron Hamilton appeared on Miley Cyrus’ IGTV show “Bright Minded” on Wednesday. During the chat, Cyrus asked the couple if there were any “mellow or mushy” moments that didn’t make the show.
The couple replied that they were surprised the show didn’t include any scenes from when Lauren met Cameron’s parents.
“Actually when I met Cameron’s parents and they cut that completely out of the show, I was like ‘what the heck?’” Lauren recalled. “You know maybe it wasn’t enough drama or anything. We didn’t fight or anything like that.”
Cyrus proceeded to ask the couple how the encounter went. “It went great,” the couple agreed.
“I walked in and his mom was like ‘Oh my gosh, you’re just as pretty as he described,’” Lauren recalled.”And I was like, ‘Yes, I’m in there! I’m in the family! She loves me!’... My dad actually came to and we all sat around and...laughed and drinked [sic] and talked about life and it’s so unfortunate that that part didn’t make the show.”
The 34-year-old went on to reveal that a lot of their fans even noticed the absence of the encounter on the show.
“I know a lot of people asked about that. ‘Like did Cameron’s parents refuse to meet her or something like that?’And it wasn’t even like that at all,” Lauren explained.
Cyrus related to the experience, citing that she’s done several interviews where positive moments were scrapped for clickbait content.
“I hate when something actually goes really well, but it’s not clickbaity enough,” Cyrus said. “That happens to me all the time.”
Furthermore, Cameron went on to reveal a bonding moment Lauren and his mom shared.
“Lauren even showed mom her wedding dresses on her phone and they had a bonding about that,” the 29-year-old added. “Our families talked about, you know, how we were going to integrate our families.
“It was a really cute special moment,” Lauren chimed in.
Cyrus told the couple that she’s going to try and get access to the deleted scenes.
“We would have loved to see that,” she said. “So, if you can, I’m going to hit up the producers. I think we need the ‘Bright Minded’ edition of ‘Love Is Blind.’ Only the positive parts of the show.”
The entire first season and the reunion special of “Love Is Blind” is now available to stream on Netflix.
