‘Love In The Limelight’ Hallmark Movie Premiere: Trailer, Synopsis, Cast

With summer nights coming to an end, Hallmark movie fans are in for a treat as the network unveils the first film of its brand new Fall into Love movie lineup. That movie, “Love in the Limelight,” stars Alexa and Carlos PenaVega and debuts Saturday night.

The film will be a treat for fans as it will allow them to once again see the film’s stars, who have been married off-screen since 2014, once again sharing the screen. The pair previously both starred in the films “Enchanted Christmas,” “Love at Sea” and “Picture Perfect Mysteries” movies.

As for Alexa, fans also likely will recognize her from her other roles on Hallmark, which includes the films “Destination Wedding.” “Christmas Made to Order” and “Taking A Shot At Love.”

So what can fans expect from the film? Let’s find out.

“As a teenager, Summer (Alexa PenVega) was a devoted fan of the popular boy band the Mandez Boyz, especially Nick (Carlos PenaVega), their lead singer,” a synopsis reads. “After receiving a sweet fan letter from Summer, Nick decides to respond with a phone call, sparking the start of a friendship that’s lasted to this day. When Nick’s manager books a gig for him at a small venue in Summer’s hometown of Salt Lake City where she now works in human resources at a local university, the two finally meet face-to-face.”

However, when they finally meet face-to-face, it quickly becomes clear that there is more between them, and it will take the power of outside forces to potentially get them to face the music.

“It’s clear their friendship has set the stage for romance, and Summer’s Abuelita (Ivonne Coll)--a hip grandma with a TiKTok following—encourages her to follow her heart,” the synopsis reads.

“Love in the Limelight” airs Saturday, Aug. 6 at 8 p.m. EDT on Hallmark Channel.
