‘Making Spirits Bright’ Hallmark Movie Premiere: Cast, Trailer, Synopsis

Hallmark Channel’s very merry holiday season continues with the newest “Countdown to Christmas” holiday premiere, “Making Spirits Bright.” The film, starring Taylor Cole and Carlo Marks, premieres Saturday night.

Fans will certainly be ecstatic with this film, which brings together two familiar faces from the network for the first time. Marks is most well-recognized for his role as David Peck on “Chesapeake Shores,” but he has also starred in several films for the network as well, including, “Christmas with the Darlings,” “Love in Store” and “Moonlight in Vermont.”

Cole is also a familiar face, having starred in numerous films over the years. They have included “Appetite for Love,” “My Summer Prince,” “Christmas in Homestead,” “The Art of Us,” “Christmas Festival of Ice,” “Falling For You,” “One Winter Proposal,” “Matching Hearts,” “One Winter Wedding” and “South Beach Love.”

So what will happen in the film? Let’s find out.

“Grace Ryan (Cole), the co-owner of a Richmond-based home staging company, returns to her hometown to be with her family for the Christmas holiday,” a synopsis reads. “The Ryans, seasonal holiday decorators, are competing in the annual Bright Nights contest for the opportunity to not only secure a lucrative contract to decorate every municipal building in town next season, but also a substantial cash prize. With Grace’s father’s furniture business on the ropes financially, this prize could turn his fortunes around.”

There is one problem with the family’s plan, however, as it will force them to be in competition with her father’s former business partner and now arch-nemesis, which is complicated by the fact that Grace’s childhood friend, Tony (Marks), is her father’s enemy’s son.

However, the two will quickly realize that a tech-heavy third competitor could hurt both family’s chances at winning—and try to get their families to work together to guarantee a win for both.

“Can the two families put aside their differences to work together towards a common goal, and possibly mend a decades-old feud?” the synopsis teases.

“Making Spirits Bright” airs Saturday, Nov. 27 at 6 p.m. EST on Hallmark Channel.
