Mama June Shannon poured her heart out to fans while celebrating her relationship milestone with her husband, Justin Stroud.
The 43-year-old reality star took to Instagram Friday to upload a compilation of wacky photos with her 34-year-old husband. In the snaps, the couple made faces and stuck their tongues out at the camera.
In a lengthy caption accompanying her post, the "Mama June: Road to Redemption" star opened up about how she met her "Prince Charming," who, she said, showed her what true love is.
"Well, today marks a year since Justin asked me to be his girlfriend. I never thought on June 9th that night seeeing [sic] a man in the back of someone's TikTok live would turn out [to] be the man I would experience true love [with for] the first time in my life [and] the man that would change my mind about never getting married," she wrote.
The controversial TV personality added that she was glad she spotted the person who would become her best friend and life partner in that live stream because that changed the course of her life after going through so much in the past 42 years.
Mama June shared that the tattoo artist asked her to be his girlfriend six days after their first date. She also admitted that many people did not want them to be together, but they proved them all wrong, especially when they secretly tied the knot earlier this year.
According to the former "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" star, it was her who asked Stroud to marry her in late February because "it's 2022, [and ladies] can ask a man to marry [them]." They officially exchanged "I dos" on March 23.
As they celebrate their six-month anniversary as husband and wife, Mama June expressed her gratitude and love for the man who made her feel special and helped her get over her "diva moments" and other issues in life.
"Some [people] say 6 months is too quick, but I knew that through [sic] everything I have been through, [G]od finally sent me my Prince Charming. I love this man to death, [and] I'm glad I'm finally got my happily [sic] ever after [and] my forever," she explained.
Mama June's post received mixed reactions from her followers. Some questioned her decision to be with Justin instead of focusing on her kids, Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson and Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon. On the other hand, several expressed their happiness and well-wishes for her.
"Love ain't worth it if it destroys your relationship with your kids. Ain't no man ever going to be more important than my son," one wrote.
"You do what you want to do, June. Only you know what's right for you! I'm happy for the happy couple," another commented.
"This is soooo awesome, Mama June!!!! Happy anniversary!!! I'm soooo happy for you!! Love you!!" a third user added.
"All these people on here saying congratulations to you. I guess they forgot that you just threw your daughters to the curb," a different user opined.
The reality star's post comes just a few days after she was admitted to a hospital amid a health scare. Earlier this week, Mama June revealed that she had to be hospitalized after a routine visit to her doctor, during which she confessed to suffering severe headaches and dizziness lately.
Honey Boo Boo's mom said doctors subjected her to a series of scans and tests, so they could figure out what was going on with her body and health. There's no update on her official diagnosis thus far.
