Margot Robbie delivered one of the funniest speeches of the awards season when she took the stage for her co-star Brad Pitt at the recently held BAFTAs. The actor won the Best Supporting Actor award for Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” but could not attend the ceremony due to some personal reasons.

While making an appearance on “Good Morning America,” the 29-year-old actress revealed some specific details about the speech and how she felt while delivering it in front of an audience. The “Wolf Of Wall Street” star noted that she was really nervous about delivering Pitt’s acceptance speech that she forgot to prepare her own.

Robbie was nominated for two BAFTAs. Both of her nominations were in the Best Supporting Actress category. The star got noms for her stellar work in the movies “Once Upon A Time Hollywood” and “Bombshell.”

Recalling the moment when Pitt called her a day before the star-studded event, the “I, Tonya” star shared that she really “panicked” at the thought of giving Pitt’s speech that she did not even think about writing one for herself.

“He [Pitt], like the night before, was like 'Can you do my speech for me? I cannot be there,' and I was so panicked about his speech that I did not even think about preparing one for myself,” Robbie said.

Robbie further stated that she was hoping to lose in the Supporting Actress category, so that she would not have to go on stage to make a speech.

“I was up for two, for both films in my category, and it was not until I was in the car on the way there that I was like ‘Oh my gosh, I hope I do not win because I don't have anything to say,’” Robbie said.

Robbie lost out to Laura Dern for her role in Noah Baumbach’s “Marriage Story.”

The “Suicide Squad” star is busy nowadays in promoting her upcoming movie “Bird Of Prey ( And The Fantabulous Emancipation Of One Harley Quinn).”

The film sees Robbie reprising the character of Harley Quinn. It also stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Ewan McGregor, Rosie Perez, and Ella Jay Basco in pivotal roles.

“Birds Of Prey” is scheduled to hit theaters on Feb. 7.
