Margot Robbie and Michael B. Jordan are the latest A-list actors to join the upcoming David O. Russell film. The movie stars Christian Bale in the lead role.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Robbie, who was recently nominated for an Academy Award in the Supporting Actress category for the movie “Bombshell,” will be collaborating for the first time with the “American Hustle” helmer.

The plot details have been kept under wraps, but it is said that the helmer is creating the movie from an original idea. This will be the first time since 2015 that Russell will be donning the director’s hat. His last film as a director was Jennifer Lawrence’s “Joy.”

Deadline reported last month that the project could start its production in April.

Bale and Russell have worked together in two movies, “The Fighter” (2010) and “American Hustle” (2013). Both movies were nominated for numerous Academy Awards. “The Fighter” was nominated for seven Oscars while “American Hustle” scored 10 noms at Hollywood’s biggest night.

Bale won his first Oscar while working with Russell in “The Fighter.” The esteemed actor won the Best Supporting Actor award for playing the character of Dicky Eklund in the movie. Meanwhile, he was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role for “American Hustle.” Russell also received Directing nods for both movies.

In related news, Robbie was most recently seen in “Birds Of Prey.” The movie received positive reviews from everywhere, but it could not perform well at the box office. At first, it was estimated that the movie could well earn between $55-60 million in its opening weekend. But the movie opened to a dismal $33.5 million domestically, making it the DCEU film with the worst opening weekend. Overseas, the feature film opened to $48 million in 78 markets .

The movie’s worldwide total sits at $81.25 million at the global box office.

Directed by Cathy Yan, the movie has a score of 79% on review site Rotten Tomatoes. “Harley Quinn: Birds Of Prey” also stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Ewan McGregor as Black Mask, Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain and Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary.
