‘Married At First Sight’ Season 1 Spoilers: Jamie And Doug Get Emotional In A Sneak Peek Video For The Reunion Special

The “Married At First Sight” Season 1 cast reunite Tuesday, Sept. 16, for a special called “Married At First Sight: Six Months Later.” The show will feature all three couples in a room with the four experts that set them up. FYI released a sneak peek that shows each couple talking about the hard parts of their relationships.

In the teaser, Jason and Cortney are asked about Jason’s vulnerability. “I remember thinking to myself, like, ‘Give her your all. Give her everything you have because this feels so right,’” Jason explains. “But then the other part of me was saying, ‘Jason, protect yourself.’”

Jamie’s vulnerability issues with Doug will also be discussed. The video shows Jamie and Doug emotional when they talk about Jamie’s walls and Doug’s support. “You never, ever said anything negative and you always had my back and that’s what I needed in a husband,” she says to Doug as she tears up. Even Doug and Dr. Pepper Schwartz start to cry.

Vaughn and Monet are a little less heartwarming. Vaughn wants Monet to admit she didn’t want him because he wasn’t financially successful. Monet says his actions didn’t match up with his career goals. The host asks Monet if she married for love or money. Monet laughs and says she married for love, but Vaughn didn’t seem determined enough to reach his goals. “I knew Vaughn wanted those things but he hadn’t done the research to get the things that he wanted,” Monet says, defending herself.

Cortney told International Business Times she hoped audiences would see her friendship with Jason in the special. “There are definitely things that me and Jason did that other couples don’t agree with and vice versa,” she said. “But we really supported each other and I think that that is one of the most important things that people will take away from the reunion special.”
