‘Married At First Sight’ Spoilers: Iris Gets Nervous During Sex Talk With Keith

“Married at First Sight” viewers know that couple Iris and Keith haven’t had sex yet. The Season 9 couple are waiting because Iris is a virgin. The Christian cast member decided to wait for marriage, and she wants to get to know her husband before consummating the relationship. That makes the fishbowl exercise particularly awkward.

In a Season 9, episode 8 clip exclusive to International Business Times (seen above), Iris and Keith try the fishbowl exercise. The fishbowl is full of intimate questions for the newlyweds, and it’s become a tradition on “Married at First Sight.” However, it quickly becomes clear that the “Married at First Sight” team didn’t bother to update the content for Iris.

The video shows that she can’t say what her favorite sexual position is because she really doesn’t know. “Not applicable,” she says.

She still wants to know Keith’s answer. “It’s stuff to know for the future,” she offers.

Keith is hesitant and looks a little uncomfortable, but he wants to be honest. “Probably doggie style. That would be my favorite,” he says.

That wasn’t what Iris was expecting. Keith notices his wife cringing and clearly distressed. Iris says it’s because she’s never done that before. “I don’t know what to expect,” she admits.

“You look disgusted,” he notes.

They move on to the next question. “How would you like for me to initiate sex?” Keith asks.

She stutters and stumbles over her words, but she says that she really isn’t sure.

“I can tell Iris is a little uncomfortable. I think Iris is a really mature person, but sexual experience is just not a place I think she’s very mature in—and that’s becoming apparent,” Keith tells the cameras.

The fishbowl isn’t just sexual questions, so expect the two to answer some other revealing inquiries. On the bright side, they are having less trouble than their co-stars. Both Jamie and Beth, as well as Matt and Amber, had some serious drama last week that they’ll have to work out.
