Following a long information drought, a massive leak about Form Software’s “Elden Ring” surfaced online revealing details about the upcoming title’s next appearance, gameplay, and release date.
AltChar recently reported about a new leak shared on 4Chan, which reveals a lot of interesting details about “Elden Ring.” The much-awaited action RPG title would reportedly make an appearance at the upcoming The Game Awards 2020. At launch, the game would be cross-generation and would apparently run at 60 FPS on PC and next-generation gaming consoles.
The report also claimed that “Elden Ring” would feature higher resolution support and better textures. Interestingly, it would also support cross-platform multiplayer between Xbox and PC. As for PlayStation, the report said that it would be a feature that players would receive at a later time.
There are also several details about the gameplay of “Elden Ring.” The report noted that it would have co-op integration. Also, there would be an option where players would be able to create small parties and explore the map together.
The Invasion system will also be available in the upcoming ARPG title, according to the report. It also explained that the player’s role as an Invader would greatly depend on the kind of covenant that he is affiliated with. Covenants will reportedly have a great impact on the gameplay of “Elden Ring.”
It was reported earlier that one of the main reason for the absence of official information about the game is because of a massive delay in development, according to Research Blaze. The team behind the upcoming title co-penned by George R.R. Martin was allegedly affected by the current global health crisis caused by COVID-19. Additionally, the report claimed that game publisher Bandai Namco is facing some “trademark issues” with “Elden Ring.”
Game Director Hidetaka Miyazaki earlier shared some update about the game during the 23rd Japan Media Arts Festival. In a letter read by the show’s host, he said that “Elden Ring” will have some themes prevalent in most George R.R. Martin’s work. Hidetaka also mentioned the game is the “deepest From Software has ever done in terms of mythos and history.”
