McDonald’s, which is trying to make a comeback after four consecutive years of traffic decline, has begun testing mobile ordering of food from some of its locations through the iOS app’s new update, Reuters reported Wednesday.

Users will be able to place their order through the app before arriving to the restaurant, just like Starbucks and other fast food company apps allow customers to do.

The app’s new feature is being tested in 29 locations in California and will expand to 51 restaurants in Washington state on March 20.

Besides mobile ordering from certain locations, the McDonald’s app also notifies users on deals, such as All Day Breakfast and McCafé coffee, and locates its nearby restaurants. The app’s geo-fencing allows employees to start preparing the order right before the customer gets to the location, in an effort to keep the food hot and fresh.

The final version of the app will give customers other order choices, such as table service, counter pickup or drive-through pickup and curbside delivery. Customers will have to pay through the app before the order is send to the restaurant.
