Since the latest jackpot went unclaimed, it will grow to an estimated $53 million, with a cash option of $38.5 million. The next drawing will take place on Friday, Nov. 12, at 11 p.m. EST.
There weren’t any players who managed to match five numbers and win a prize of $1 million. Players who would have hit the Match 5 along with the 3X Megaplier would have won $3 million.
However, 16 players hit the Match 4 plus the gold Mega Ball, winning $10,000 each. Meanwhile, only four players hit the Match 4 plus the gold Mega Ball with the 3X Megaplier, which resulted in a $30,000 prize.
The other Mega Millions wins from the night ranged between $2 and $1,500.
To win the Mega Millions jackpot, a player must match the six numbers on their ticket to the drawn six-number combination. The six numbers are five numbers plus the Mega Ball number.
The Mega Ball is numbered between one and 25, while the five Mega Millions balls are numbered between one and 70.
Lottery winners can receive their grand prize winnings through a one-time lump sum payment or an annuity. Players who select the annuity will receive one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments, which increase by 5% each year.
Mega Millions can be played in 45 states as well as the U.S. Virgin Islands and the District of Columbia.
