Meghan Markle Accused Of 'Deliberate Wardrobe Malfunction' At A Friend's Wedding
Meghan Markle's recent wardrobe malfunction may have been "deliberate," according to one netizen.
On Saturday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped out together to attend Charlie van Straubenzee and Daisy Jenks' wedding. Markle caused a stir after she was photographed flashing her black lace bra during the event. But according to one netizen, it may have been intentional.
"Meghan stole the show with her deliberate wardrobe malfunction," the netizen wrote (via People).
However, Myka Meier has said that Markle's wardrobe malfunction doesn't break royal protocol and was simply an accident. "Meghan did not break royal protocol when her bra showed, as accidents or wardrobe malfunctions are not considered going against dress code rules. Her bra showing was not believed to be deliberate, in which case she would have not been seen to be disrespectful by the palace," Meier told the publication.
"A blatant disregard of a rule which was set in order to show respect would when you would consider a break in royal protocol, which the Duchess of Sussex did not do," she added.
Meanwhile, netizens had different reactions to the incident. Some poked fun at the duchess.
"I see London, I see France, I see Meghan's ...well, not underpants but just as embarrassing a moment. I suppose the good news is that she did wear a lovely lace bra," Darlene Foster wrote.
Aside from Markle's wardrobe malfunction, some netizen reacted to her choice of color. Many were not pleased to see her wearing black at the wedding as the color is associated with gloomy events like funerals.
"Meghan stepped out in dark-colour like someone attending a funeral, and did she deliberately flaunt her bra for the camera?. The bride, 27, and groom, 30, look young and cute, but Meghan stole the show with her deliberate wardrobe malfunction," Joy Musa wrote.
In related news, Prince Harry and Markle are taking a break from the press. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly staying in a farmhouse house they rented on the Great Tew Estate. They will not be back on their royal duties until September.
According to an insider, the place is very private. In addition, it has cameras and a tight security to ensure that Prince Harry and Markle will have the privacy they need.
