Meghan Markle Has ‘Natural-Sounding Speech,’ ‘Intelligence’ Coming Across Since Becoming A Royal
Meghan Markle has always been a wonderful public speaker. But she became even better at it after she joined the royal family.
James Bryce, CEO of Gweek, compared the Duchess of Sussex’s most recent speech from the previous ones she has given and said that there are huge differences. While speaking with Express, Bryce said that Markle’s speech intelligence comes across even though she’s reading from a script.
“Here, she is commanding the script. Meghan, and not the script, is leading the event. We can see this from how she speaks firmly but naturally, managing her speech rate well She communicates in small, natural-sounding chunks of speech, allowing emotions to shine through her pitch. It presents us with an authentic version of Meghan,” he said.
A few weeks ago, Markle embarked on her royal tour of South Africa with Prince Harry. On her last day in the continent, the Duchess of Sussex talked about the importance of the youth. Bryce said that Markle sounded different while giving her speech at that time.
“In the clip, taken from her final speech to South Africa, her speech intelligence contrarily does not come across to the same degree. Here, we see a different Meghan Markle. Again, it is scripted speech and which she is likely to have practiced in advance. In this instance, however, the script is leading her. She’s reading fluently but in long sentences,” he said.
Bryce also said that Prince Harry’s wife seems to have changed her delivery of speaking, which makes it seem less natural.
“Her voice is a reading sentence voice, as opposed to speaking spontaneously voice. She makes eye contact in unnatural places; her eyes look immediately down to the script at the end of each sentence to see what is coming next, denying her listeners any personal connection,” he said.
However, Markle isn’t the only member of the royal family whose voice has changed. Bryce said that Kate Middleton’s voice also sounds very different compared to the first time that she joined the royal family in 2011.
