Meghan Markle’s first pregnancy was rumored to be fake. There have been claims that the Duchess of Sussex was never really pregnant, and she simply wore a prosthetic belly to make it look as though she is.

On the online forum site Quora, royal fans said that the most surprising thing about Markle’s fake pregnancy is the fact that some royal fans believe that this is a fact. They are convinced that Prince Harry’s wife was not really pregnant last year, and her son was born via a surrogate.

Jessie Bauchope Young said that one of the reasons why some royal fans are convinced that Markle's pregnancy was fake is because they are not supporters of the Duchess of Sussex. As such, it is common for them to spread hate about the royal.

“That poor young Lady. She has done no harm to anyone, and yet tens of thousands of people who have never even met her, feel they have a right to tear her apart. I suspect in time they may move abroad, and she will get blamed for that too! Anyway, what goes to all you haters, I hope you can take back what you give. What goes around comes around,” she said.

Scarlett P. Bassett, an avid royal watcher, said that there are indeed a lot of people who are convinced that Markle’s pregnancy was fake. However, she is not one of them.

“I do however agree that getting pregnant was a priority for Markle, factoring in age and the jackpot prize it was no surprise when the pregnancy was announced (at Eugenie’s wedding). She couldn’t even let that girl have the limelight to herself on her wedding day, that saddens me,” she said.

Sylvia O’Neill said that the worst thing is that Markle isn’t the only one who was rumored to have faked her pregnancy. Kate Middleton was also accused of the same thing, and she was also rumored to have hired a surrogate.
