  • Princess Diana would be proud of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been criticized by experts and the public for months. But in a recent claim, the royal couple was praised by one royal commentator.

While speaking with Yahoo’s “The Royal Box,” royal expert Omid Scobie said that Markle and Prince Harry have been doing things differently, and their creative approach and thinking outside the box will make the late Princess Diana proud.

If the Princess of Wales were still alive, she might also be using her social media platforms the same way that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are using theirs, according to the expert.

Scobie also credited Prince Harry and Markle for lifting a veil that is traditionally cast over the members of the royal family by keeping some things about their lives private.

“There was a time when want went on behind palace walls was top secret, there was a veil over the members of the Royal Family. Now with social media…that’s changed the way that the Royal Family communicates with the world,” Scobie said.

He also noted the fact that Prince Harry and Markle are very hands-on with managing their official Instagram account. The royal couple looked at the perfect shade of royal blue to use for their page.

Scobie said that it was also the “Suits” alum who came up with the idea of putting white borders on all of the pictures. Markle also studied about Instagram algorithms to make sure that their account will be effective.

When Prince Harry and Markle joined Instagram, they managed to break records by gaining the most number of followers within hours. As of late, Sussex Royal already has 9.9 million followers.

Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s account, which they started much earlier than the Sussexes, now has 10.4 million followers. Before Prince Harry and Markle split from Prince William and Middleton earlier this year, they also shared updates and photos via the Kensington Royal Instagram account.
