Meghan Markle, Prince Harry Took Economy Flight To Nice For Their Vacation
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recently took an economy flight to Nice for their New Year’s vacation.
According to the Telegraph, the couple boarded the British Airways flight ahead of everyone else so they wouldn’t be spotted on the plane. Prince Harry and Markle sat at the back of the plane next to the rear toilets.
The Daily Mail reported that three rows of seats were blocked off by the plane for Prince Harry and Markle even though only the two of them flew to the French Riviera. Three bodyguards also accompanied them, but they sat a bit far from the prince and his fiancée.
Prince Harry wore a baseball cap throughout the entire flight to make sure that no one will notice him. Markle, on the other hand, wore a beanie. She sat beside her fiancé, who took the window seat.
Meanwhile, upon their arrival in Nice, Prince Harry and Markle were met by armed forces from the French border police. They will be the ones responsible for protecting the couple throughout their vacation.
An insider told the Telegraph that Prince Harry and Markle will receive protection from the armed forces especially after what happened to his mother, Princess Diana, in the country.
“It would have been offered and would have been non-negotiable. After what happened to his mother in this country and the issue of terrorism, it would be insisted on even for a private trip such as this,” the source said.
Prince Harry and Markle flew out of London to celebrate New Year’s Day with their friends in France. They will also be spending some alone time in Nice for a couple of days and will be staying at a private residence in the Riviera region.
Following their short vacation, Prince Harry and Markle will be returning to London to start planning their May 19, 2018 wedding. The couple’s union will be held at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
