It was just a day ago that it was announced that the Fab Four -- Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince William, and Kate Middleton -- would be joining forces in support of the government's new mental health campaign, Every Mind Matters. However, it's already receiving backlash from users on social media.

Eleanor Seggall Mandalstram, a Mental Health writer for Metro UK wrote, "Its great that #everymindmatters has launched BUT for those of us stuck in a failing NHS system that keeps people with chronic mental illness on long and pointless waiting lists for therapy that doesn't happen- I don't see how this can help if you've been in the system for years."

Although Every Mind Matters has received backlash, it's not the program itself that people seem to be having an issue with. It has more to do with the government dedicating enough funds to the program so that NHS patients are actually able to take advantage of the services offered.

Mandalstram explained in a subsequent tweet, "I've been in the NHS system since I was 15 years old due to having bipolar. Services are more stretched than ever before- with long waiting lists for treatment. Please fund our #mentalhealth services- we need it more than ever! #everymindmatters"

Producer and journalist Ilona Burton echoed the sentiment when she tweeted, "If #everymindmatters, there should be enough funding to support every mind that struggles."

As with any new program, it will take time to work out the kinks, so it may be a while before Britons see the effect Every Mind Matters has on the community. In the meantime, the backlash should roll off the backs of the Dukes and Duchess' of Cambridge and Sussex. After all, they should be used to it by now.

Meghan and Harry were recently criticized for their decision to file a lawsuit against the Mail on Sunday and its parent company, Associated Newspapers, over “the misuse of private information, infringement of copyright and breach of the Data Protection Act 2018” in regards to The Daily Mail publishing letters the former "Suits" actress had written to her father, Thomas Markle.

And, not that long ago, William and Kate came under fire for taking a budget airline amid Meghan and Harry's backlash over their use of private jets.
