Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been married for almost two years. But royal fans are still wondering if the Duke of Sussex doesn’t regret his decision to tie the knot with the Duchess of Sussex.

On the online forum site Quora, royal fan Thalia Theopolus compared Markle to the former First Lady Michelle Obama. She said that the public has a high opinion of Barack Obama’s wife because she treats everyone with respect. The mom of two is not also a hypocrite, and she’s also very down to earth.

“Do you want to know why some British people don’t like Meghan Markle? Because she doesn't treat people with respect, has been downright mean to her family members, has been obnoxiously rude to the Royal Family and acts like a hypocritical spoiled brat,” she said.

The royal fan said that Markle wasn’t what Prince Harry expected or even hoped for. She said that the Duke of Sussex must have wanted to marry someone more like the former first lady of the United States.

Royal fan Sophie Oldfield said that the “Suits” alum wasn’t what Prince Harry expected. After all, the new dad really wanted to marry his long-time girlfriend Chelsy Davy. However, since Davy could not deal with the constant media scrutiny, she decided to call it quits with Prince Harry.

The couple’s split paved the way for the Duke of Sussex to meet Markle. The latter was serious about dating or even settling down with a British guy, and her wish obviously came true. At the end of the day, Markle got what she had always wanted from Prince Harry and it’s not the other way around.

But Susan C. Weber said that there’s no rhyme or reason why people fall in love. As such, it’s hard to judge why Prince Harry fell in love with his wife shortly after their first date.

“I’m quite sure she is what he expected. Harry is a grown man and doesn’t need the misplaced coddling of total strangers. He’s been around the block more than once, and he’s no longer the sad little boy walking behind his mother’s casket. It’s amazing that people can’t figure that out,” she said.
