Meghan Markle’s Dad Caused Problems In Duchess’ Dating Life Before Meeting Prince Harry
Meghan Markle’s dad, Thomas Markle Sr., reportedly caused by problems in the Duchess of Sussex’s dating life.
Growing up, Prince Harry’s wife grew up in a household where her parents do not live with each other because they are divorced. As such, Markle found herself mediating between Thomas and Doria Ragland at such a young age.
In the book “Meghan: A Hollywood Princess,” royal biographer Andrew Morton said that Markle grew up having to mother her own father. “The older she became, the more she felt she was the one who was mothering her father. It was a source of friction especially when she started dating… As a friend notes: typical teenage stuff,” he said.
Despite the problem that her dad caused, Markle reportedly dated a few boys while she was in high school. At least two of her previous boyfriends were also students at St. Francis High School.
While studying there, Markle was crowned as Homecoming Queen because she was sweet and fun and everybody loved her. According to Morton, the recognition that the “Suits” alum received was an indication of her popularity and appeal to her schoolmates.
Meanwhile, Markle is still at odds with her dad, Thomas. Throughout the past couple of months, Thomas did not give interviews to the press because he might have thought that this was how he could get on his daughter’s good side.
Unfortunately, even without the interviews, it seems that Markle still hasn’t forgiven her dad. She didn’t invite him to attend Archie’s christening on July 6. Thomas has not met his grandson in person, and it is unclear whether or not Markle has sent her dad photos of the young royal.
Following the recent christening snub, Thomas told The Sun that he felt sad to not have been invited. The former lighting director added that he would’ve loved to be at his grandson’s christening alongside his daughter, son-in-law, and the other members of the royal family.
