Meghan Markle's Dad Happy With Her Romance With Prince Harry, Sources Say

Meghan Markle's parents are supportive of her love life.

Markle took her mom, Doria Radlan, to the closing ceremony of Invictus Games where they hung out and showed their support for the former's boyfriend, Prince Harry. After the duke was seen bonding with Markle's mom, some fans then wondered what the "Suits" star's dad, Tom Markle, has to say about the royal.

According to Daily Mail, Markle's father, who is an award-winning cinematographer, maintains a rented £1,100-a-month ($1,451) flat in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles, opposite Prospect Studios where he used to work. Although Tom has kept mum about his daughter's high-profile romance with Prince Harry, a source confessed that he was told of their relationship before the world was. One of Tom's neighbors also said that he is happy for the "Horrible Bosses" star.

"Tom will call sometimes so I know how he's doing. He's happy his daughter is with Prince Harry and he's glad she's found love. He never expected this. He was expecting a quiet retirement in Mexico," 43-year-old Allison Leber, who lives in the same block as Tom, told Daily Mail. "Now he could be walking his daughter down the aisle at Westminster Abbey. He's astonished at it but he's happy as long as Meghan is happy."

Unlike Meghan's estranged sister, Samantha Grant, who has been at odds with the actress, their dad has no interest in speaking publicly about her relationship with Prince Harry. "Tom is a good man who wants a quiet life. He couldn't be more proud of Meghan but he has no interest in the circus that comes with her dating a prince," another source told Daily Mail.

Earlier this year, Grant threatened to release a book titled "The Diary of Princess Pushy's Sister" and added that the "Dater's Handbook" star might not like what she would reveal about her. However, Grant's daughter and mom revealed that this was a result of her jealousy of Meghan.

"She's just been overall jealous of Meghan as soon as she got famous and began taking jobs like, for example, ['Beverly Hills'] '90210.' And of course, when she got 'Suits,' that set her off," Noelle Rasmussen, Grant's daughter, told Daily Mail. "After however many years, she's just completely bashed Meghan, said the most horrible things about her to the entire family, and just been completely jealous of her."

Samantha's mom added that everything she said about Meghan are lies.
