Meghan Markle’s Family Drama Helped Her Win Over Royals For This Reason

Meghan Markle’s family drama and all of the unique things about her made the members of the royal clan love her more.

Following her and Prince Harry’s engagement announcement, the Duke of Sussex was criticized for marrying a divorced African-American former actress. But after Markle’s first meeting with Queen Elizabeth II, this changed because Her Majesty herself was drawn to the “Suits” alum, according to E! News.

In the weeks leading up to her royal wedding, Markle’s family made headlines after they conducted multiple interviews slamming the Duchess of Sussex. The members of the royal family became protective of her and didn’t allow her dad, Thomas Markle Sr., and half-siblings, Samantha Markle and Thomas Markle Jr., to attend her special day.

Last year, Prince Harry also shared how Prince William and Kate Middleton welcomed Markle into their family even before they got engaged.

“I’d been seeing her for a period of time now when I literally didn’t tell anybody at all. And then William was longing to meet her and so was Catherine, so you know being our neighbors, we managed to get that in a couple of – well, quite a few times now, and Catherine has been absolutely…” Prince Harry told BBC.

“She’s been wonderful,” Markle declared.

Last week, Robert Jobson, the author of “Charles at 70: Thoughts, Hopes, and Dreams,” also said that the Duke of Cornwall has been drawn to Markle because they both come from dysfunctional families. Angela Levin, the author of Prince Harry’s memoir, also said a similar thing.

“There have been so many traumas and crises within the personal life of the royal family. And many royal divorces. That’s why the Duchess of Sussex’s troubled family background has endeared her to Charles even more,” she said.

Prince Charles also found Markle as incredibly smart the first time they met each other. And their bond only became stronger after Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding when Prince Charles walked her down the aisle.
