Meghan Markle and Michelle Obama are teaming up for a gender equality summit.

In the upcoming 2020 Girl Up Leadership Summit, the Duchess of Sussex will participate as a guest speaker along with other big names, including Obama, “Quantico” star Priyanka Chopra, Nobel Peace Prize winner Nadia Murad and Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, Vanity Fair reported.

The three-day virtual event, to be held from July 13 to 15, marks the first scheduled speaking engagement for Markle since she and husband Prince Harry stepped down from their senior royal roles.

"The present is female! But don’t take our word for it. Hear Meghan Markle, The Duchess of Sussex’s advice for global girls leaders when she takes the stage at the 2020 @GirlUp Leadership Summit, happening virtually July 13-15!" the official Twitter account of Girl Up announced on Tuesday.

Girl Up, a leadership initiative, has worked with 65,000 girls through 3,500 clubs in nearly 120 countries and all 50 United States. According to its website, the initiative aims to inspire a generation of young women to be "a force for gender equality and social change."

This is not the first time that Markle and Obama will cross paths. In December 2018, nine months after she tied the knot with Prince Harry, the Duchess of Sussex appeared backstage at the London stop of the former first lady’s book tour for her “Becoming” memoir, People reported.

The women also met last year. When Markle guest-edited the September 2019 issue of British Vogue, she said she was left “somewhat speechless” by Obama’s answers to her questions for the back page.

The former “Suits” star said the response was “a thoughtful, reflective and beautifully curated narrative – a gentle reminder not of how but of why she has become such a globally respected public figure.” Markle also divulged that she and Obama had talked about this project over lunch when she was still pregnant with Archie.

Obama’s answers imparted words of wisdom about the intricacies of parenting, describing motherhood as a “masterclass of letting go.” She added that as moms, there’s only so much that they can do.

“As mothers, we just don’t want anything or anyone to hurt our babies. But life has other plans. Bruised knees, bumpy roads and broken hearts are part of the deal,” Obama wrote.

After relocating to Los Angeles, Markle and Prince Harry have been volunteering in the community and have touched other charities through video calls.
