Meghan Markle’s former meditation coach, Light Watkins, only has good things to say about the soon to be royal.

While speaking with People, Watkins said that he thinks Markle will be an amazing addition to the royal family. “She was delightful from the beginning to end when we were working together. She also has a level of maturity that allows her to have a big change like this and stay level-headed and centered. I’m happy and excited for her,” he said.

Watkins also shared that Markle started meditating with him several years ago. This means that the former actress was in a good place in her life when she did. Some people, on the other hand, tend to practice meditation only when they are faced with a crisis. Doing this puts too much pressure on the person.

Meanwhile, the meditation coach also talked about his book, “Bliss More: How to Succeed In Meditation,” which is already available now. He shared some of the tips readers will get from the book.

“If you say, ‘I meditate,’ it means you’re probably sitting somewhere on a cushion with your legs crossed, with your two fingers together, and back straight and all of that. But what I came to find out was that that position was more of a monastic approach and not really the approach that regular people should be taking,” he explained.

“I started teaching people this other approach, sitting comfortably with your back supported, not trying to control your mind or breath or really anything. And how much deeper you could get at meditation. And it would always shock people how much bliss that they could access, how rested they became, how much better their sleep became,” he added.

Meanwhile, other than meditation, Markle is also a yoga practitioner, Her mom, Doria Radlan, also happens to be a yoga teacher. During her interview with Best Health Mag, Markle defined yoga “as the balance between desiring more and being content with what is.”
