Meghan Markle’s Rumored Birthing Facility Of Choice Has Luxurious Features, Top-Notch Services
Meghan Markle is rumored to welcome her first child at the Mulberry Birth Suite at Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey.
The facility is reportedly a top choice for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex because it is close to their home in Windsor. Mom of three Jo Thomson, who gave birth to her three children at the same hospital, shared what it was like staying at the luxurious suite.
While speaking with The Sun, Thomson said that Mulberry Birth Suite is like a hotel. She also said that the beds and the en-suite bathroom are huge.
“It’s really feminine, the walls are covered in pictures of flowers and you can have different color settings and moods with all the lights. Even though you’re giving birth and you’re in a lot of pain, it does have a relaxing spa atmosphere to it and that really helps,” she said.
Thomson also said that the lights inside the room can be dimmed depending on a person’s preference. There are also built-in speakers that work well with any mobile phone. The entire feel of the suite was relaxed and chill, and the ambiance helped mentally and physically prepare her for the birth of her children.
“The water had to be quite warm as obviously, babies are very warm in your tummy. It took me a while to get into it as it was quite hot,” she said.
Even though the rooms are kept warm, they each feature a Dyson cooling tower fan in case it gets too hot. The Mulberry Birth Center also offers aromatherapy and supports women who choose hypnobirthing techniques. However, Thomson didn’t go for this option.
And when asked where her husband stayed while she was giving birth, the mom of three said that there were big comfy chairs for him and the other guests. If Markle really decides to give birth in the suite, Prince Harry will have a special area where he could also relax.
Magazines are available in the bedrooms, and teas and toasts are also offered.
