Meghan Markle's half-sister, Samantha Markle, spoke about her upcoming book and said it's never meant to attack Prince Harry's wife.

Samantha announced four years ago that she would be writing a tell-all book about her family, which will feature the former "Suits" actress. There were claims that she would be slamming Markle in the publication, with some family members alleging that she hated the duchess and was jealous of her. However, in her recent statement ahead of the book's release, Samantha said she didn't write the book to attack Markle.

"Contrary to troll gossip and aggregate news rumors, my book has never been designed to attack my sister," the 56-year-old author told Us Weekly. "It’s relatable. There’s a lot to learn — the good, the bad and the ugly. I’ve been very forthcoming that I was never writing a hardbound tabloid. I said that two years ago, but nobody wanted to believe it."

Samantha's book will be released on Jan. 17. She admitted that she was worried about "possible leaks" and asked the readers to read it with an open mind.

"Reviews will be out there in advance, and people will read it subjectively anyway and screw it in terms of whatever they are looking for. That’s just the nature of people," she continued.

"I was a psych major and I really am a counselor with two master’s degrees, so in terms of the psychology of individuals and groups, I understand what people will make up, but in many ways I feel that there is something for everyone in it.”

Meanwhile, their dad, Thomas Markle Sr., expressed his support for Samantha. In an interview, he said he was "very pleased" that Samantha has completed the book. However, he refused to share more details about it and said, "Let’s let her talk to you about the book."

Samantha's upcoming book has 330 pages and it is said to expose the "hidden truths" about the Markle family. The duchess is not on speaking terms with both her father and sister. In fact, her half-brother Thomas Markle Jr. said their dad no longer cares if Prince Harry's wife would come back into his life or not.

"Seriously, he has only got a few good years left. I talked to him the other day and this is going to hurt but he is to the point where he actually doesn’t really care if she comes back into his life or not," Thomas Jr. said.
