Melania Trump has reportedly shown signs of disdain over her role as the First Lady of the United States.

The FLOTUS has gained thousands of supporters and critics when her husband, Donald Trump, became the president of America. According to a body language expert, the former model was not very enthusiastic in taking over Michelle Obama’s position in the White House.

“It was clear from the outset, this was not going to be a role Melania was going to embrace,” expert Darren Stanton told Express.

“Over her time in the White House, I have seen Melania openly demonstrate signs of disdain and contempt at times.”

The expert added that Melania eventually learned to be happy with her role in the White House. Although there were times when the FLOTUS’ smile appeared fake, there were instances when she looked very happy.

“Melania is not one that can hide her fake smiles well,” Stanton continued.

“You can always tell a fake smile because only half the face is engaged and regardless of age you will always see crows feet at the sides of the face. Recent photos capture genuine happiness and Melania is clearly happy.”

The FLOTUS has been honest from the start that her priority is her son Barron over politics. In fact, she did not accompany Trump during his campaign. Melania decided to stay at home with Barron.

“It’s my choice not to be there. I support my husband 100 percent, but we have a 9-year-old son together, Barron, and I'm raising him, and this is the age he needs a parent at home,” Melania told 20/20 in an interview back in 2015.

The FLOTUS is also very protective of her only son. In December 2019, Melania snapped when Pamela Karlan mentioned Barron’s name in a statement. She even called out the legal scholar.

“Pamela Karlan, you should be ashamed of your very angry and obviously biased public pandering, and using a child to do it,” Melania wrote on Twitter.

However, several netizens defended Karlan because for them, she didn’t mean any harm when she mentioned Barron’s name during a hearing. Some even accused Melania of overreacting.

“Nobody ‘went after’ a kid here-- it was nothing more than a creative play on words, and was so, so TRUE,” one netizen commented.
