Melania Trump Humiliation: FLOTUS Reportedly Doesn't Care If People Think #BeBest Is Insincere And Unsuccessful
KEY POINTS
- Melania Trump's "Be Best" campaign received numerous backlash
- President Donald Trump, reportedly, told the FLOTUS that including cyberbullying in the campaign is not a good idea
- Melania Trump, allegedly, does not care what people think about her
Melania Trump has been very active in working with charities, organizations and campaigns that focus on the general well-being of children and youth. In 2018, the First Lady of the United States started her “Be Best” campaign, which aims to teach youngsters about the importance of physical, social and emotional health. Despite her efforts in battling against bullying, critics continue to lambast the mom-of-one for failing to act on President Donald Trump’s arm-twisting and blustering antics online.
While “Be Best” is supposed to help fight any form of maltreatment and intimidation, there are some who think that Melania’s campaign is “hypocritical” since President Donald Trump is said to be the “biggest bully” on the planet. Despite this, CNN correspondent Kate Bennett said, in her “Free, Melania: The Unauthorized Biography” book, that the FLOTUS does not really care if people think that her platform is insincere and deceitful.
“She knew that she would get blasted for including cyberbullying in her overall Be Best program … but she did it anyway,” Kate said of Melania Trump’s campaign. “Her husband even told her it would be a bad idea. Trump was not unaware that his personal habit of trashing people on Twitter would open his wife up to a ton of backlash for taking up the cause. He warned her against doing it. She did it anyway and has faced the consequences,” she went on.
Kate Bennett added that, just like the POTUS, Melania does not seem to care what people think about her or whatever she does in her life. However, her “stubborn” and “independent” nature has, reportedly, made it harder for her to fight against bullying. This is also the reason why most of her detractors think that “Be Best” will never become successful.
Melania Trump has yet to comment on Kate’s statements. However, Stephanie Grisham already dismissed the book ahead of its release. The FLOTUS’s spokeswoman even described it as a form of betrayal to Melania and the White House.
“Our office worked with Kate in good faith in her book and thought she would do an honest job. Sadly, it includes many false details and opinions, showing Ms. Bennett spoke to many anonymous people who don’t know the First Lady,” Stephanie told People. “It continues to be disappointing when people, especially journalists, write books with false information just to profit off the First Family,” Melania Trump’s representative continued.
