- The First Lady shared practical tips to keep every household free from coronavirus
First Lady Melania Trump and "first daughter" Ivanka Trump were present at the first presidential debate night and both arrived wearing suits in contrasting colors. Melania opted for a tailored black suit while Ivanka wore an all-white outfit.
Melania rocked a chic black pinstripe suit by Dolce & Gabbana worth $3,340. The FLOTUS paired it with $695 navy Christian Louboutin heels and a white collared shirt. Melania also wore a white face mask and styled her hair in her signature waves, Daily Mail reported.
Meanwhile, the First Daughter looked pristine in her $3,210 cream blazer with a wrap belt by Gabriela Hearst. Ivanka matched it with white dress pants and accessorized with a $4,700 quilted white leather Chanel bag. But unlike her step-mom, Ivanka didn’t wear a face mask at the event.
Melania has also been spotted multiple times not wearing a face mask when attending engagements, but she supports the use of masks especially in public places. In July, she shared a photo of her wearing a face mask and encouraged other people to do the same.
"Even in the summer months, please remember to wear face coverings & practice social distancing. The more precaution we take now can mean a healthier & safer country in the Fall,” she wrote on Twitter.
As for the First Lady wearing a suit, it wasn't the first time Melania wore one. The FLOTUS also rocked a white Dior suit to the State of The Union in 2018. At the time, she paired it with a Dolce & Gabbana top and neutral tone Christian Louboutin stilettos, Vogue reported.
Melania's fondness for Dolce & Gabbana outfits is evident as she has been seen rocking various items from the brand. In 2018, she also wore a tailored coatdress from the same fashion brand. Melania paired her military-inspired ensemble with Manolo Blahnik stilettos.
In related news, Melania recently shared practical tips to keep families safe from the COVID-19 virus. She encouraged parents to have their children wash their hands after coming in from the outside, before eating, after coughing, sneezing or blowing their noses. The FLOTUS also suggested to “limit all crowds” and avoid hugging and shaking hands because they can spread the virus.
