Melania Trump Receives New Award; FLOTUS Praised For Being ‘Exquisite, Magnificent, Superb’

Melania Trump has received a new award.

Palm Beach Atlantic University has named the first lady of the United States as its 2020 Woman of Distinction. Melania will be the sole honoree at the luncheon, which honors women who have made significant contributions to the community, Palm Beach Post first reported.

The award recognizes women for their charitable leadership in organizations that support the arts, education, health and other community initiatives. Eileen Burns, co-chairman of the event, praised President Donald Trump’s wife for her character as an individual, wife and mother.

“Our first lady is an exquisite human being, a magnificent wife and life partner, a superb mother and an outstanding first lady, who represents us brilliantly in the United States and worldwide,” Burns said.

“Melania is a perfect example of a Woman of Distinction and we are most proud to honor her.”

In 2017, Melania launched Be Best, her initiative that promotes children’s social and emotional health. However, some slammed it because for them it wasn’t effective.

Melania’s Be Best campaign has three pillars: well-being, online safety and opioid abuse. Many attacked the FLOTUS when the president slammed Greta Thunberg on Twitter. The netizens mocked Melania’s Be Best campaign since she didn’t stand to defend the 16-year-old activist against her husband’s cyberbullying.

Twitter users also reacted to Melania’s new recognition. Some of them were happy for the FLOTUS but Melania’s critics also bashed her for the award with some questioning it.

“Melania Trump Given 'Women of Distinction' Award and Nobody Knows Why,” one wrote on Twitter.

“WTAF? Really? She does absolutely nothing but stand there and look around like a deer in the headlights,” one wrote.

“If it was called the “Women of Deception” Award, she would be far more qualified,” another added.

Just recently, Melania was lambasted after she was spotted joining her husband in the Oval Office. Many questioned her presence at the POTUS’ meeting with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the White House since she’s not involved in the U.S. foreign policy.

According to Donald Trump Jr., the critics only attack Melania because they couldn’t get to the president, whom he described as “unbreakable.” Donald Jr. added that the criticisms against Melania are not really meant for her, but they are made to hurt the POTUS.
