Over the past weeks, a photo of Jeremy carrying the first lady in his arm has circulated on social media. In the snap, Melania can be seen wearing a red and white dress. She is smiling while raising her arm.

Melania received intense backlash for the snap, with some sarcastically calling her “classy first lady” with a “porn actor.” Many criticized the FLOTUS due to the controversial picture.

According to Snopes, however, Melania’s photo with Jeremy was fake because it was digitally altered. In the real photo, Jeremy is carrying Traci Bingham and not Melania. The picture was taken in January 2004 during the WB Television Network’s All-Star TCA Party at the Annex at Hollywood and Highland in Los Angeles, California. It is available via Getty Images.

Melania has been subjected to various criticism due to her husband, President Donald Trump. Journalist Andrew Cohen considered Melania the “greatest casualty” of Trump’s presidency. Cohen stressed that no one in his past or present, staff, friends, cabinet or children has endured more cruel and unusual punishment than the FLOTUS.

Cohen believed that Melania has a choice just like Trump’s staff to leave. However, he was convinced that making a decision was more complicated for Melania because she is married to the POTUS.

Photos of Melania during the event smiling and grimacing while her husband delivered his speech were caught on camera. Some felt that she was not listening and was “in another world.”

Melania faced another round of backlash when she reacted harshly at the mere mention of her son Barron’s name by Pamela Karlan. However, she didn’t defend Greta Thunberg when Trump bullied the 16-year-old activist after the latter was named by Time Magazine as Person of the Year despite her statement saying that minors should be kept out of politics.
