Michael Bublé Slams Emily Blunt Cheating Rumors: 'We Weren't Right For Each Other'
“Feeling Good” singer Michael Bublé is happily married to his wife, Argentinian actress Luisana Lopilato, but he's making a point of denying rumors that he wasn’t always the best partner. Bublé was accused of cheating on British actress Emily Blunt while they were dating from 2005 to 2008.
The drama all started with Blunt, 32, who gave a vague answer on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM radio show when he asked if Bublé was unfaithful in the relationship. "I don't know, it's complicated," she said. "I never want to talk about it. I can't do it."
Bublé, 40, responded in an interview with ET Canada Wednesday. "It didn't end because of cheating," he said. "It ended because we weren't right for each other, and we are now exactly where we're supposed to be in our lives." Bublé married Lopilato in 2011 and Blunt married actor John Krasinski in 2010. She and "The Office" actor welcomed daughter Hazel in February 2014.
Bublé didn’t have anything negative to say about the “Sicario” star. "Emily is a beautiful and loving person, and I'm grateful for the time I had with her, for the relationship,” he said. “Without it, I wouldn't have had a chance to fall in love with myself enough to be with a woman like my wife."
But the “Home” crooner didn’t linger on Blunt. He had some happy news to announce. He and Lupilato are expecting another baby boy. He said they nixed superhero-inspired names like Thor and Spider-Man.
Bublé recently shared an Instagram photo of his wife and son, Noah, 2. “How lucky I am to have you as the mom of my kids,” he captioned the image Sunday. Then he added: “#iwonthelottery” The photo received more than 56,000 likes from his 1.2 million followers and garnered hundreds of comments.
The singer added that he is thrilled to add another baby to their family, especially since their son has grown so quickly. “You know, Noah’s two and I already miss him when he was a baby,” Bublé told ET. “We love that part so much that how can we not want to have that again? And again, and again … I’m saying that now; let’s see what I say after two.”
