Michael Jackson's Daughter Paris' Guardians Approve Of Her New Boyfriend But Also 'Keep An Eye' On Him

Late "King of Pop" Michael Jackson's daughter Paris is now 17 and in a relationship with professional soccer player Chester Castellaw. Though Paris' family “approve of” Castellaw, they are still keeping a “close eye on him.”

“I approve of him," Jackson's co-guardian T.J. Jackson, son of Tito Jackson, told ET Online in an exclusive interview. "No one's perfect, but he's a good boy, so I approve of him. ... He treats her well. She's happy."

TJ is the nephew of the late pop star Jackson and was appointed co-guardian of Paris in 2012. He is also the guardian for her brothers Prince, 18, and Blanket, 13. Katherine Jackson, their grandmother, is the other co-guardian.

"It depends on which day you ask me," T.J. said of the relationship. He says Castellaw is a “good kid” who is quite ambitious, like other boys his age. However, just like any other parent, he is keeping an eye on him. “I was a young man too once, so I keep a close eye on him," he said.

Castellaw and Paris hit the red carpet at the opening night of Deaf West Theatre’s production of “Spring Awakening” in May. The 18-year-old plays for the Real So Cal youth soccer club. The two teenagers started seeing each other in March when they were seen on a hike in Los Angeles. Their Facebook status says they are “in a relationship.”

Paris went through a very rough time a few years back, attempting suicide in 2013, following her father's death in 2009. The teenager later checked into rehab in Utah for treatment and looked happy and healthy thereafter. She will play herself in the film “Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys,” scheduled for 2017 release.
