Microsoft Lumia 650, Lumia 850 Photos, Release Date, Specs Roundup
Microsoft’s Lumia 650 and Lumia 850 have been consistently making news since October this year. Following the Lumia 850 leak, now, a source from China has uploaded a photo of the Lumia 650 clad in white.
According to Phone Arena, the Microsoft Lumia 650, tied to the codename Saana, will apparently come preinstalled with Windows 10 Mobile, following the elite list of handsets like the Lumia 950, Lumia 950 XL and Lumia 550. The latest image in white (attached above) comes from Baidu and it clearly shows a metallic frame running through the sides of the device. Nokia Power User, meanwhile, said that the expected release timeframe is Q1 2016.
As far as the Lumia 650 specifications go, the handset will reportedly feature a 5.0-inch display, bundled with 720 x 1,280 pixels screen resolution. In comparison, the recently released mid-ranger Lumia 550 comes with a pocket-friendly 4.7-inch display and 720p resolution. Other than the display configuration and exterior design, the leak doesn’t offer any more details.
Moving on to the recently leaked Lumia 850, @evleaks reported that the handset’s code name is “Honjo.” The leaked image showcased the upcoming handset in pristine white color with a shimmery logo at the back, complete with a front-facing LED flash.
Unlike the Lumia 830, the photo of the successor had well-rounded edges and the overall design resembled the Lumia 950 series. Also, the capacitive keys and physical shutter button were missing in the leaked photo. Perhaps, Microsoft is trying to unclutter the mid-range Lumia series.
Furthermore, another report showed four new color schemes for the Lumia 850. Apart from the traditional white and black variants, there are some shimmery accents on the sides of the device. For instance, the front and back panels will apparently come in white or black, however, the sides will be embellished with a slew of colors like gold, rose gold, copper or steel.
As far as the specifications go, the Lumia 850 will reportedly flaunt a 5.7-inch display and Full HD resolution. Under the hood, the device has been rumored to utilize the Snapdragon 617 chipset.
