It is believed that the Surface Go 3 would be announced at the upcoming Microsoft event on Sept. 22. But ahead of the rumored announcement, the device surfaced on Geekbench, giving fans a sneak peek into its technical specifications.
On top of that, Winfuture's Roland Quandt offered more details about the device that will surely interest consumers. Based on the latest report, fans should not expect anything huge on Surface Go 3 when it comes to its overall design and size.
The next-generation tablet from the Redmond-based tech giant will reportedly sport a 10.5-inch display with full HD resolution. In terms of design, the insider claimed the device will feature the same design as its predecessor with a fold-out stand and a housing made of magnesium alloy.
The tablet houses Intel's 10th generation Amber Lake U CPU. The base version of the device features a PentiumGold 6500 Y Chip with 4 GB RAM.
It appears the entry-level model performs and looks a lot like the Surface Go 2. The CPU offers a decent performance improvement over the Core m3-8100Y. The Core i3-10100Y will reportedly offer a decent improvement.
The more pricey model of the Surface Go 3 uses Intel Core i3-10100Y System on Chip (SoC) and has a base clock speed of 1.3 GHz. It has the power to boost up to 3.9 GHz based on the task at hand. This model comes with 8 GB RAM.
Also, it is a dual-core processor that comes with a UHD Graphics 625 GPU. Unfortunately, we don't know the price of the base and the higher-tier models of the upcoming tablet.
Quandt also confirmed there will be other products launching at the upcoming Microsoft event. Fans can expect to see the announcement of the Surface Duo 2, which has been leaked for a few months now.
