KEY POINTS

  • Miley Cyrus will launch new music in 2020
  • She has been exercising her vocal chords
  • Billy Ray Cyrus likes his daughter's new album

Miley Cyrus is busy exercising her vocal cords ahead of the launch of her new music. The singer had to undergo a surgery last year, which she said has been a gift because it has allowed her to work on her singing abilities.

Cyrus has been doing wall squat vocal rehabilitation exercises and she has done enough them to get fed up. She posted a video of her doing the exercise on Instagram and said that she doesn’t want to do any more of them.

While doing the exercises, Cyrus learnt a “cool trick” that she shared with her fans. The singer said that one has to “get another muscle to fire” to get the throat “distracted.” This trick apparently takes the pressure off the vocal chords. Doing this exercise by leaning against a wall helps keep the chin and neck parallel, and this helps reduce the strain and the pull.

Cyrus appears to be having a lot of fun making some new music. She said that everything feels “divine” these days. She added that sometimes it becomes hard to stay aware of all the “magic” in her life.

As far as the surgery is concerned, Cyrus considers it a “gift” because it helped her to hone her craft. “Watch out!” she teased.

In early January, Cyrus shared a picture of her with a mullet hairstyle and said that she will be launching new music this year. Although she hasn’t teased any details about what her next album will be about, her dad appears to know what it is.

Speaking at the Recording Academy and Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Gala, Miley’s dad Billy Ray Cyrus told US Weekly that one of the songs in his daughter’s new album is “ridiculously, crazy good.” According to the country singer, the song is “so good” that it is “gonna kick some a-s.”
