Miley Cyrus was among the first to own Lil Nas X’s "Satan shoes," and she proudly showed them off on Instagram Sunday.
In the snapshots posted by the "Wrecking Ball" singer, Cyrus can be seen sitting on top of a matte blue Land Rover sporting a black sleeveless shirt, black cap and loose blue jeans. She completed her look with Lil Nas X's newly released footwear collaboration with the company MSCHF, the Satan shoes.
The $1,018 shoes, which are a remake of Nike’s classic Air Max ’97 sneakers, feature the symbol "x/666," red ink and a drop of human blood. It is also emblazoned with Bible scripture from Luke 10:18, which references Satan’s banishment from heaven.
"Can you see Satan?" Cyrus wrote in the caption.
Cyrus' post, which has received almost 1 million likes in less than six hours, appeared to divide her fans and followers, with many leaving fire and heart emojis while others expressing disapproval for her support of the 21-year-old performer's controversial sneakers.
"Stop it," Zaria commented with a heart eye emoji, while Alan Crocetti wrote, "Angel."
“Queen,” another person wrote, adding a heart eye emoji. “I love you,” a fourth netizen commented.
However, others were disappointed with Cyrus' move and even said they would be unfollowing her.
"This ain’t it. This is messed up," one commented, as another added, "so sad unfollowing."
"That’s disappointing," another wrote with crying emoji, while a fourth person wrote, "I love you but no."
"Cutting your fan base in half isn't the best financial decision Miley," another user wrote.
This comes a few days after Cyrus was spotted getting cozy with musician Yungblud at the Rainbow Bar and Grill in Los Angeles Thursday. In photos published by Page Six, he appeared to put his finger close to the pop star’s mouth at one point and also stroked her hair.
"Miley randomly started singing something at the table and everyone from the restaurant turned around and looked and was like, ‘OMG, it’s Miley Cyrus," an eyewitness told Page Six. "It’s as if they were talking about a song, so she just belted out a line" that lasted "like two secs."
However, some unnamed sources said Cyrus and Yungblud are not dating. One insider told People that the two are "just friends" and were spending time with a group of pals.
