‘Mirage: Arcane Warfare’ Release Date: Bazaar Map Showcased In New Video
Canadian independent game studio Torn Banner Studios just showcased “Mirage: Arcane Warfare’s” upcoming map, Bazaar, in a new video. The alpha testing period for the game has also ended.
On Tuesday, Torn Banner introduced the new sprawling Team Objective map on its blog. The video included in the post shows the pristine locations of the Bazaar map, which will witness the bloody and merciless fights when the game arrives later this year. While the video does not feature any character, a screenshot shared on Torn Banner’s website shows what seems to be a confrontation between a Vigilist and a Taurant.
According to Torn Banner, Bazaar will bring players to the outskirts of the grand city of Bashrahn. Bazaar is slated for release on March 27, and players can gain instant access to the map at launch via the game’s Beta. To be part of beta testing, however, players should preorder “Mirage: Arcane Warfare.”
The upcoming skill-based game has been in Alpha since September of last year. Today marks the end of the Closed Alpha and the game is set to enter Beta on the same day the Bazaar map is released. For players who participated in alpha testing, they are not granted automatic access to the Beta. It is only by preordering the full version of “Mirage: Arcane Warfare” that players are granted access to the Beta.
The Bazaar map announcement comes almost two weeks after Torn Banner showcased a brutal footage of the game at PAX East 2017. The gameplay clip featured the new Team Deathmatch, the Courtyard and Falcon Ridge maps, as well as the Team Objective map, Academy.
The official description of “Mirage” reads: “Mirage is a skill-based multiplayer FPS that lets you tear your enemies limb from limb with destructive magic and melee combat. Experiment and find your perfect playstyle between six diverse classes including stealthy assassins, hulking brutes, powerful mages and more.”
No specific release date has been given yet, but players can already preorder the Standard and Special Edition versions online.
