Miss Universe 2017 Winner Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, Tim Tebow Going Strong
Miss Universe 2017 winner Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters and Tim Tebow are still going strong and happily in love!
The former NFL quarterback and current Mets prospect, 31, and his stunning South African lady love, 23, may have only been dating for less than a year, but the two seem to be in it for the long haul. Tebow and Nel-Peters are all loved-up in their Instagram posts and have qualms gushing about each other to the media.
In November, Nel-Peters celebrated Thanksgiving with Tebow's family. The Miss Universe winner revealed in a post that it had been her first American-style Thanksgiving celebration and called Tebow's family the "sweetest." She also posted a sweet photo of her cuddling up to the athlete as they smile for the camera.
Tebow also gushed over his girlfriend, writing on social media that he was grateful for everything he had experienced this year and tagging Nel-Peters.
But this wasn't the first time Nel-Peters had met Tebow's family. Prior to their Thanksgiving celebration, the couple enjoyed an outing in New York, and they were joined by both of their families.
This came months after Tebow confirmed that he was dating Nel-Peters in July. During an interview with ESPN in the summer, he gushed over his girlfriend, calling her a "really special girl." He said while he was usually guarded about his love life, he was so grateful that she came into his life that he couldn't help but open up about their relationship.
Back in October, Tebow also talked about his girlfriend and how their relationship was going during an interview with People while promoting his book, "This Is the Day." He revealed that Nel-Peters and her whole family was "so special" and that he was getting to know his girlfriend and her culture. Tebow added that while they were taking things slow and easy, he also felt that their future as a couple was a bright one.
As for what he is like as a boyfriend, he said he just follows his heart. “I try not to overthink things with my head,” he explained. “With relationships, I’m very heart-driven.”
As for Nel-Peters, she previously revealed in an interview that her time as the Miss Universe crown-holder was almost over and she was readying to say goodbye. She also told Page Six what she would miss the most about her role as a beauty queen.
“I think one of the things I’ll miss most is the people I got to work with, the organization, they’ve been so supportive and so helpful throughout the whole year,” she said.
Nel-Peters will be passing off the crown to the Miss Universe 2018 winner on Monday, Dec. 17.
